Welcome to AnxinKit (Chinese name 安心工具箱, hereafter “the App”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and the App’s developer (“we”, “us”) regarding your download, installation and use of the App. Please read these Terms carefully before using the App. By continuing to use the App, you agree to all of these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not download, install or use the App.

1. About the service

The App is an on-device iOS utility suite that includes document scanning, OCR, QR / barcode generation and recognition, color picking, unit conversion, password generation, a Pomodoro timer, local reminders and a compass.

All core features run on your device. The App does not rely on any remote server.
The App does not offer account registration, login, social, chat or content distribution services.
The App is currently free of charge. We reserve the right to release a paid / premium version in the future, which will be clearly marked.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install and use the App on Apple devices that you own or control. Copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights in the App belong to us or their respective owners.

Without our prior written consent you may not:

Copy, modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the App;
Sell, rent, lease, sublicense, transfer the App, or provide its functionality to a third party for a fee;
Remove, obscure or alter any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices in the App;
Use the App to engage in any activity that violates the law or infringes the rights of others;
Interfere with or disrupt the App’s normal operation or attempt to bypass its access controls.

3. Acceptable use

You agree that:

You take full responsibility for how you use the App;
You will not use the App to scan, recognize, generate or distribute any unlawful, infringing, abusive, obscene, violent, fraudulent or otherwise inappropriate content;
You will not use the QR-code generator or Wi-Fi parser to phish, defraud or attack other people’s networks;
You will not use the local-notification feature to harass others or distribute spam;
You are solely responsible for backing up your important data. All local data lives in the App’s sandbox and is deleted on uninstall.

If you violate any of the above we may terminate your license to the App without notice.

4. Intellectual property

All content of the App (including but not limited to source code, UI, icons, copy and graphics) is protected by copyright laws of the People’s Republic of China and international treaties. Except for the limited license expressly granted in these Terms, you may not reproduce, modify, redistribute or commercially exploit any of it without our prior written consent.

Content you generate through the App (e.g. QR codes, passwords, scan results, reminder items, color palettes) belongs to you. We do not claim any rights over it and do not collect or back it up.

5. Third-party services and system capabilities

The App uses iOS system capabilities provided by Apple (Camera, Photos, Vision, UserNotifications, CoreLocation, CoreMotion, Contacts, EventKit, NetworkExtension, etc.). Use of these capabilities is also subject to Apple’s policies and the iOS system prompts.

The App does not rely on any third-party online service and never sends your data to our servers or to a third party. See the AnxinKit Privacy Policy for details.

6. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, reliability, availability, continuity or accuracy;
We do not warrant that the results produced by the App’s tools (including but not limited to OCR accuracy, barcode recognition accuracy, compass deviation, password-strength estimation, unit-conversion results) are correct in every situation. You should verify the results yourself, especially when money, safety, medicine or law is involved;
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages;
You acknowledge that network conditions, device performance, iOS version, third-party hardware, and damaged or blurry scan targets can all affect tool results, and we accept no liability for those factors.

7. Changes and termination of the service

We reserve the right, without notice, to:

Modify, suspend or discontinue any feature of the App;
Release new versions on the App Store or end maintenance of older versions;
Restrict or terminate your license if you violate these Terms.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will take effect when we publish a new version of the App or post the changes on a page we designate, and the “Last updated” date at the top will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the App.

9. Governing law and disputes

The formation, validity, interpretation and enforcement of these Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (excluding the Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Taiwan region). Any dispute should first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if that fails, either party may bring proceedings before the competent People’s Court at the developer’s place of residence.
